In comparison to the previous budget year, the property rates tariffs for the financial year 2020/2021 of the City of Tshwane have been adjusted, in some instances, downwards, especially with regard to residential (adjusted downwards by 17%) and business properties (adjusted downwards by 29%).
In a media release published on 14 May 2020, Rustenburg Local Municipality urged property owners to suspend filing of objections after concerns relating to the new valuation roll which is currently open for inspection.
