An extension of the validity of the current valuation roll will be requested from the MEC for Local Government in terms of Section 32(2)(b)(ii) of the MPRA, which stipulates that the MEC may extend the period in the case of local municipalities to seven years. In this instance, the Valuation Roll will be in its 7th year if it is extended to the 2020/21 financial year.
